Online consultation with a dentist

For our patients’ comfort, H-Clinic dental clinic offers an online consultation with a dentist.

This is an opportunity to receive a professional expert opinion from a doctor remotely, without leaving your home. Our dentists are ready to answer your questions in a convenient video format (Google Meet, Zoom, Viber, etc.), which is especially important when you are unable to visit the clinic in person.

To use this service, simply contact us by phone or via the form on the website. The administrator will agree with you on a convenient time for the consultation and help you choose the optimal messenger for the video call.

The cost of an online consultation is 500 UAH.

How an online consultation is conducted

At the agreed time, the dentist contacts you via the chosen messenger to conduct a video consultation. During the online appointment, you can receive:

  • professional advice regarding your current condition and symptoms
  • a consultation based on an X-ray or CT scan (if you send them in advance)
  • a preliminary (provisional) diagnosis
  • a discussion of possible treatment methods and protocols for your situation
  • a tentative treatment plan and alternative options (if needed)
  • recommendations regarding treatment you have already received (if you were previously treated by another specialist and would like to get a second opinion).

During the video consultation, you can show problematic areas of the oral cavity in real time, as well as send photos or documents in the chat for a more detailed analysis. If you have a panoramic X-ray of the teeth or a 3D CT scan, the dentist will be able to assess your condition more accurately and propose solutions.

After the session, the dentist will send you written recommendations and a plan for further steps, including: a brief summary of the consultation, a preliminary diagnosis (based on the information provided), an approximate treatment plan, and possible alternatives.

The duration of an online consultation is approximately 45 minutes.

When an online consultation can be helpful

An online consultation with a dentist can help in situations when:

  • your teeth react painfully to hot or cold (increased tooth sensitivity)
  • you are bothered by intermittent toothache or discomfort while chewing
  • a tooth was recently removed and you are planning to have an implant or another type of prosthetic restoration
  • you are considering bite correction (braces, aligners, etc.)
  • you intend to improve the aesthetics of your smile (for example, by getting veneers or teeth whitening)
  • a suspicious lump, swelling, or “bump” has appeared on your gums
  • you would like to learn more about possible treatment options for your problem or get an independent opinion on an already recommended treatment plan.

During the initial online consultation, the dentist will assess how urgently you need an in-person visit. You will be able to learn about the approximate treatment options for your situation and plan your visit to the dentist in advance. This approach saves you time and helps reduce anxiety before seeing the doctor.

What is not included in an online consultation

The online format has a number of important limitations to keep in mind:

  • Final diagnosis. The dentist cannot make a definitive diagnosis remotely — this is only possible during an in-person examination at the clinic. The online format is intended for preliminary assessment and recommendations.
  • Treatment. Without an examination it is impossible to carry out full treatment or procedures. If you are experiencing acute tooth pain, the dentist may recommend temporary measures to relieve your condition, but you will still need to visit the clinic as soon as possible to undergo the necessary procedures.

An online consultation with a dentist at H-Clinic is a convenient, fast, and safe way to receive qualified dental advice.
